Very rare Silver Jewish Collection box, most likely Russian or Polish. A very important ceremonial item, these were used to collect money for the poor and donations for Israel. This charity box is an example for the help of the Jewish people in the Diaspora in the making of the Israeli State. The Marks are: L.Scheinker in Cyrillic, the makersmark of Leizer Pinkhosovitz Scheinker born in 1857, master in 1874.The Lock is German. The Size is 16.5cm
