Original Description:
Modernist and rare Moshe Zabari studio made alms container made of hand-worked perforated lacquered brass with clear plastic. 8” tall, 1.75” diameter. Sculptural and beautifully executed, this piece was presented as a retirement gift by the Jewish Museum to James L. Weinberg who was chairman of the board at the museum from 1979-1987. Please note the inscription. Condition is excellent - some light scratches are present and the patina is untouched. This form was designed in 1969 and... a close variant is in the Jewish Museum’s permanent design collection.
