This is a snake bite kit that is called an Outfit. The outfit includes the case, use directions, glass and metal syringe and 1 needle tip. The kit was made by the “Hayden Manufacturing Co. N.J.”. N. J. stands for the state of New Jersey. The wording or grammar in the directions is a little strange which makes me think the outfit is very early, maybe pre 1900’s. The case is wood covered with a black textured paper. The box has a cloth hinge and a met...al clasp. The directions are glued inside the cover. The lower section has a metal clip for 1 needle tip and room on the right side for the syringe and other parts. According to the instruction there should be 3 bottles and a string (tourniquet) that are missing now. The box is 3 5/8” by 2” by 7/8” thick. The syringe is made of many pieces and is made of metal and glass. It comes apart. It has a glass cylinder in the center. There is 1 needle tip that fits in the boxes holder clip.
