Signed Authentic Hand Carved Alaskan Eskimo Hunter With Spear 5 1/2" Tall. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS First Class Mail.
This statue is signed "T.EKAK".
My brother was a school teacher in Alaska from 1977 - 1989 then 1994 to 2004. He taught at Delta Greeley School District in Delta Junction, Alaska, Gateway School District/ Mentasta High, N.S.B.S.D Itinerant Anatuvuk Pass - Nuiqsut -Kaktovik - Atqasuk and N.S.B.S.D. Alak School in Wainwright Alaska. This statue is ...from one of these areas, but I am not positive which one.
This statue measures approximately 5 1/2 " to the top of his head, 6 1/2" to the top of the spear. The statue measures approximately 2 1/2" at it widest part and is approximately 1 3/4" thick. The base is 3" x 2". There is a crack in the top of the hand that is holding the spear, I do not know if this was originally this way or has been damaged. Please look closely at the picture.
