INCREDIBLE RESTORATION - FABULOUS C.1902 GENERAL ELECTRIC GE TYPE A (D) FORM B #114184 BRASS BLADE/CAGE 12" PANCAKE FAN
GRADE: 9/10 ...;
CONDITION: A beautiful, professional restoration inside and out by Neal Klan on this highly desirable, 12" GE yoke mount Pancake brass blade/cage fan. The fan was completely taken apart, sandblasted clean of any rust and primed with etch primer after any imperfections where fixed. The gorgeous paint colors dark cherry with beautiful gold pinstripes painted with automotive paint and clear coated over painted stripes. Great fluted cast iron base. The brass blades and brass cage were cleaned, buffed and lacquered and still maintain a nice patina. Blades are balanced and run true. We note the GE brass cage appears to be 1904 model. New rubber grommet feet. Fan runs on all speeds - runs strong on high and slows to a gentle low through the 5 speeds.
MECHANICAL: AC 100/115 volts - 60 cycle motor. Inside - the fan has new carbon brushes, the armature was cleaned and coated with clear insulating varnish. Bakelite switch repaired. New head wire soldered and insulated in shrink tubing.
