For sale is a General Television Black Bakelite w/wht. Tenite trim 5 tube radio in all original condition. This model # 5A5 was manufactured in 1940 and is in fabulous, near mint, working condition. The black Bakelite cabinet is original to the radio and is in excellent shape with a very shiny finish. The cabinet is free of cracks or any discoloration but does have one extremely small chip in the left top rear edge. Should be visible in one of the photos. The white Tenite ha...ndle and trim are original to the radio and are damage-free. My photos make the trim/handle look ivory in color but they are quite white as Tenite doesn't fade like other plastics. The original gold foil dial face in in great shape w/ no damage. The red dial is original with no damage. The original dial lens is clear and undamaged. The original cardboard back is in excellent shape. The original white cord is in great shape. The original chassis is clean and working very well including the dial light. Picks up all my local AM stations w/o hum. Shipping to lower 48 states only.
