Restored GE 12 inch brass 4 blade fan. Brass blades and cage Painted with automotive paint and clear coated over painted stripes. Brass fan blade, cage and hardware where clear coated in Lacquer clear coat.This is a 4 wire motor and does not have a reostat ( speed coil ) on switch but the stator ( winding ) is wound to give it 3 speeds and the reason for the 4 wires going to the motor from the switch. New head wire and outlet cord with Vintage plug and winding (...stator) and rotor (armature) where cleaned and clear insulating varnish was applied with new sheathed 3 wire head wire was soldered on when apart. New fiber spacers on rotor and end play lash was adjusted. Oscillating gear box was cleaned and lubricated with red High Temperature grease. Oscillator has no noise and is smooth and continuous in its motion, and is operated by the knob on top of oscillator box. You must turn brass thumb wheel clock wise to engage oscillator and turn counter clockwise to dis-engage oscillator. Fan was completely taken apart and cleaned sandblasted any rust and primed with etch primer after any imperfections where fixed. Painted with automotive paint and clear coated over painted stripes and entire fan. 10 w 30 synthetic oil was put in oil filler cup and new wick runs great with 3 noticeable speeds. very smooth running and balanced blade New silk covered felt on fan base so no lint will be attracted. Fan weighs 18 pounds before packing and is 17.5 inch's high by 13 inch's wide by 10 inch's in depth. No. 1457000, CAT. 75423 TYPE AOU, Form V2, NP 11761, Pat. Feb. 6, 1906 but form # dates Manufacture date to 1920, 110 volt- 60 cycles. fan blade & cage and brackets will be removed for shipping and boxed separate from motor and both box's will be in one large box for safe shipping.
