Up for auction is a very rare, large, intact and untranslated Vatican papal bull in Latin and on parchment. This particular bull was issued during the papacy of Clement XIII (1758-1769) and it's specifically dated to the year 1767. The lead seal (bulla) bearing the name CLE MENS PAPA XIII is in excellent condition and it's attached to a long silk cord (signifying more formal matters) as opposed to the more common hemp cord. The elaborate calligraphy/decoration in the... margins is quite attractive - note the impressive rendering of Clement's name (as "CLEMENS") to begin the bull. There are several signatures of the Roman Curia underneath the vellum flap. This wonderful Catholic artifact is in very good condition. Measuring a very large 31 x 23 inches, the bull would make an imposing display piece... Guaranteed to be completely genuine, so please bid with confidence! Shipping is $12 within the USA and $20 anywhere else (registered is extra). Payment must be arranged within 3 days after the closing of the auction. Please email me with any questions. Thank you!
