Roy and his wife Mertie moved to Big Timber, Montana in late 1949 and started stamping goods with the Big Timber stamp inearly 1950.The ROY GFELLER MAKER FRANKTOWN, COLO. stamp, foundon this field pouch, confirms it as circa 1946-1949, one of the earliest examplesof Roy Gfeller’s field pouche...s. Thispouch is built to last and is in excellent condition for its age.This leather geologist field pouch features 3pencil loops and 2 scale pockets. Inside, there is a book pouch with a leather divider with space for flat items next tothe back panel.Along with this field pouch, you will alsoreceive the pictured 7 ¼ inch by 4 ¾ inch Lietz Level Book and accessories, aswell as the canvas field bag I received it in. The Level Book is mostly unused. It has a few used pages, with entries going back to 1959. We try to describe condition as best we can, buta picture is worth a thousand words.
