This rare American Revolutionary War broadside from 1777 starts:
"State of MASSACHUSETTS-BAY In the House of Representatives, March 17th, 1777. 
WHEREAS it is indispensably Necessary that the Troops raised and raising in this State for the Continental Army, should as soon as possible furnished with good Fire Arms and Accoutrements; and it appears that many Soldiers find it difficult to procure them."
Apparently many of the soldiers in the United States Continental Army co...uld not afford a good rifle and laws were passed in the Massachusetts House of Representatives to make it easier to obtain firearms and accoutrements. This rare printed broadside measures 8 1/23 x 14 inches. There are some stains in the borders and a small chip in the lower right corner otherwise very good condition!
