For Auction, 1893 Wilcox & Gibbs Hand Crank Sewing Machine. This machine was produced in the US but exported to the UK for sale. The hand crank and base were added to the machine when it arrived in the UK, you will only find this model of hand crank on the British models. Its very rare to find a treadle Wilcox and Gibbs machine in the UK because the houses tended to be very small for the times so the portable hand crank versions were very popular. This machine is very smooth, fully... functional, and comes with a belt and needle. This would make for a great display piece.
