Antique Brass Engraved 1905 C.M. Andrews Pulitzer Prize Historian .This is a very interesting item. It is an engraved brass (or copper?) thing a ma jig, that belonged to the noted historian and 1935 Pulitzer Prize winner, Charles McLean Andrews. One side of this thing a ma jig is engraved with the following: C.M. Andrews Dec. 24 1905. Please see in the pictures, the Wikipedia entry on the Yale graduate, who also held honorary doctorates from Harvard, Yale, John ...Hopkins, and Lehigh University! He was indeed an accomplished man, a well known gentleman and scholar!

The small end of this item is open, as if some original part to it is missing. A very interesting conversation piece. It has raised designs of flowers and other patterns surrounding the engraving on the front, and covering the back in early century antiqued ornate detail.
