This one came from my late friend Alan Basinet, and it's a peach. Right at 2" at the equator and just a hair under at the poles (1.96) this has a classic mustard base with dark green & red stretched frit cased in a heavy coating of clear glass. It is very close to wet mint with a beautifully shiny original surface. It does have a 1mm+ circular hit at the equator of the marble (see pic #4) a very small shallow flake, and two tiny as-made pits low on the marble. Otherwise under 10X i...t just shows some very light surface wear and typical as-mades. Overall in-hand it's just got an extremely nice surface - the heavy casing is wonderfully clear - for a 150-year-old handmade marble, and views well from any angle. This has to be an early Lauscha product, and was a star in my onionskin collection for many years. No reserve.
