It was made y a tinsmith and has a wonderful design and form. I have never seen another one like this. It is made of very heavy tinned iron or tin and has a nice stepped top and nice accents- soldered in the center of each side and ...a nice tab closure. See the form of this pail. It has a lot of remaining paint on the surface and has a nice look of history and patina and age. The tin painted surface is just the way you like to see them- authentic with sign of actual use. It measures approximately 10" wide, approx 8.5" tall and the box is approx 5 10/16" deep. It is a really nice piece to add to your early tinware collection.
