This Vaile-Kimes electric motor runs great for being over 100 years old. As you can see from the photos the cord has been taped. I didn’t replace it because some of the possible buyers may want to keep it all original. On the metal plate it reads, “SPECIAL PUMP MOTOR Manufactured Exclusively For THE VAILE-KIMES Co. Dayton Ohio By Westinghouse Electric & Mfg. Co. Pittsburgh PA U.S.A.” Below that it reads 2 LH (the 2 is crooked), 110 Volts 4.5 Amperes, 60 Cycles, 1 Phase, 1725 ...R.P.M., Style No. 12A 949, Serial No. 1.988089.” Below that are the Pat. numbers. (some are hard to read):
“July 29 (13) -- June 30 (14) -- Sept 1 (14) -- March 2 (15) Dec 10 (12 -- Oct 24 (12) -- March 17 (14) -- April 13 (15).” And below that the final pat. before it was sold it reads 3713 12-11-1916.”
