This is an amazing and rare serving piece ..Perfect for any kind of seafood...shrimp, clams, sushi, anything from the ocean looks so great being served in this artful sculptural whale ! But not just seafood...We also have used it to other foods including crudite and fruit salads and mo...re - it is versatile and fabulous looking ! When not in use it is an exquisite decorative piece and can be displayed in your home or kitchen.
This impressive whale sits riding on a group of waves with baby whales swimming beside it! It is truly an unbelievable piece that we received non stop compliments on anytime that we used it - it has the most WOW of any piece we have used and we have had some spectacular serving pieces over the years!
When it was new in the studio, they sold for $4500... and now his work is increasing in value since his death and so this is a great collectors piece and investment.
Has some scratches and wear - appropriate with age - but only not the bottom so doesn't show with food in it and still really looks great !
