Comes from the personal library of Fred Ress and has his original bookplate on the inner front cover. Ress was a very early employee of the Woodruff Printing Company operating in Lincoln, which was founded in 1887 and operated for 101 years before finally closing in 1988.
Measures 7 x 10. 840 pages. Illustrated. Includes numerous vintage ads, cartoons, etc.
Includes lots of book binding related pieces, labor union notes and records, delegate reports from around the country, etc..
Attractively custom bound in full gilt-stamped leather with decorated edges with only minor shelf wear with a little fading along the spine - otherwise Excellent condition - binding tight - covers and pages very clean - no writing, soiling, odors, torn or folded pages, etc.
During this period the individual issue covers were uniform in nature and many of the issues were bound without covers which was commonplace during this period.
