Published monthly and includes every issue... (except the February, 1900 issue... Vol. 1, No. 2)... beginning with the very first issue Vol . 1 - No. 1 January, 1900 thru the November, 1903 issue. Aside the single missing issue, this is a complete run of the first four years.
Comes from the personal library of Fred Ress and has his original bookplate on the inner front cover. Ress was a very early employee of the Woodruff Printing Company operating in Lincoln, which was founded in 1887 and operated for 101 years before finally closing in 1988.
Measures 9 1/2" x 12". Well over 700 pages. Includes numerous vintage advertisements and illustrations as well as a very nice full page nice lithographic fold out advertisement for the Garment Workers of America Union.
Includes lots of book binding related pieces, labor union notes and records, delegate reports from around the country, etc..
Attractively bound in 3/4 leather showing only minor wear and rubbing at the extremities with some areas of cracking to the leather at the outer hinges. The integrity of the covers and binding are unaffected. There are a few seam splits to the first several issues (First 5 issues were in a larger format).
The book is in otherwise Excellent condition - binding tight - covers and pages very clean - no writing, soiling, odors, torn or folded pages, etc.
Some of the issues are bound with the original covers.
