Original Description:
A beautiful antique engraving which was an illustration to the first edition of "Histoire Naturelle des Lepidopteres Exotiques", published in Paris by F. Savy in 1835. This was the work of Pierre-Hippolyte Lucas - see below - with hand colored illustrations by Pauquet
The butterflies are of the "Sarpedon Bathycles" family of swallowtails found in Asia and Australia - see below
