Ives Large 4 - 4 - 0 Locomotive And Tender, Ca. 1893 Cannonball Cast Iron Train

This is Ives' extra-large size cast iron Cannonball locomotive and tender. It's catalogued as No. 1064 in Rick Ralston's superb book Cast Iron Floor Trains and is also shown on pages 102-103 as part of Ives' 1893 "Cannonball Train." According to Rick's book, Ives claimed its Cannonball Train to be the largest cast iron train of its time.
The locomotive measures 14-1/2" L x 4" W x 6" H and features a four-window cab, orange-red wheels and trim and gold boiler bands. It has ...no breaks and appears to be original, with the exception of the pilot wheels, which were missing and have been restored with authentic ca. 1893 Ives orange-red wheels. Also, the floor of the loco's cab and the tender's coupler have been filed to allow "close coupling" of these two parts (see last two photos).
The tender, embossed 189, measures 9-1/2" L x 3" W x 3-5/8" H and features orange-red wheels and gold trim. It has no breaks and appears to be all original,
