My wife has found another ART DECO piece that she wants badly. Therefore, I am going to have to sell this beauty to fund that purchase. This auction is for this awesome antique Art Deco platinum watch case (no movement) WITH an 18KT white gold chain with three diamond attachment. The filigree case is set with Seventy-Four Diamonds for a total of approximately .84 CT. Total Weight and Twenty beautiful Calibre Cut Blue Sapphires. VERY VERY RARE!The chain length is 24” in total. It is ab...out a 10” drop to the attachment. The diamond attachment is fixed and is not a slide set. It has recently been adjusted and retightened by a jeweler. I attached a photo of the approximate drop on an average height woman. The case has a sapphire jeweled opening clasp that when pressed springs open. One side of the inside of the case has the backside of some stones visible. The back of the case, where the face of the watch would have been was sealed with a cool hologram. The original owner of this piece was a Helen Perdue. My knowledge of her is that she spent a good bit of time in Paris and New York during her lifetime. She was a NYC judges mistress for quite some time. I imagine he may have purchased this for her. I am not positive but the design on the back of the case may be her individualized mark. Measurement of the case itself is...44mm x 16.5mm x 6.5mmTotal weight of case & chain is over 17 grams. A VERY VERY VERY hard to find piece! On Jun-18-19 at 18:47:07 PDT, seller added the following information:Photo of Helen not included. She passed away in the early 1970’s.
