Up for auction is fine pair of enamel and brass opera glass made by the fine French maker Geivroz Colmont (so indicated by the GC inside a star on the bottom of the middle bridge). The glass was retailed by S.O. M. New York and likely date to the late 1800's - early 1900's. The barrels on this glass are covered with pastoral scenes depicting a man and woman in a forest setting. I see no damage, cracks or nicks in the enamel. The lenses are clear and focus easily... to produce a nice image. The brass components of this glass show typical wear. The glass comes with an era case though worn, does come with working clasp and handle. Buyer pays shipping and required insurance ($10.00 in continental USA and $55.00 international).
