Here we have another item from my father’s collection that I hope will find a good home. Dimensions of frame: 25cm width x 22cm height.It’s really quite an extraordinarily detailed and finely crafted piece of embroidery. Incredibly closely placed metallic threads to create the pattern. I’m really just guessing that it’s Chinese, it could be from any South-East Asian country. Also I don’t know what kind of bird it is - maybe a crane? Though given the gold and silver thread, I ...like to think it’s a Phoenix.
