A Pair of Antique Silver Mounted Spurs with Clock Gear or Sawtooth RowelsThese spurs are made of steel with engraved silver on their outer surfaces.
One of the spurs has lost a small part of one of these bands of silver (please see images)
Their necks have engraved or chiselled decoration.
Each has a large rowel with small teeth around its edge and petal-shaped cut outs.
The rowels also have a band of inlaid silver decoration and engraving on one side.
Each spur ha...s a pair of swinging buttons - there is possibly a trace of silver decoration remaining on one button.
They have a pair of plain, very worn old leather straps.
Dimensions : Total length 6" (15 cm), Width inside heel 2¾" (7cm) , Rowel 2" (5cm) Weight 13½oz (383g)
