This set is a family piece, purchased in Alexandria, Egypt for my great-grandmother around 1911. I had it appraised and have attached a photo of the appraisal, which indicates the stones are red spinel (though other jeweler’s have said they are possibly other gemstones; I had testing done at one auction house in the city but full testing was not completed as it is expensive). The gold is 20k + and the necklace weighs 21 grams; brooch (not in appraisal) is another 13 grams and tests a...t 19.80K. Trimmed with small freshwater pearls. Please see all photos prior to purchase as there are two small areas of oxidization that need a professional cleaning. The clasps have been reinforced but the clasp on the brooch is a C-clasp; it is marked 14K but the brooch and necklace are all 22K. Necklace is 17 inches and there is a safety/extender. The three pear shaped gemstones are 10x7mm at 8x8.mm. Will ship insured. Thanks!
