This brass binicular microscope by "R. & J. Beck" is I believe, the "Popular" model.There are no cracks or chips to the brass that I can find, however, there are the areas of tarnish to the brass, as wells as the usual scuffs, marks and scratches, that you expect from a well used item of this age.The rack and pinion system which raises the drawertubes works smoothly and the prism is present without any chips.Unfortunately, the mechanism that moves the drawertubes up and down is missin...g. The fine focus wheel appears to be working.The back is marked "R. & J. Beck, London., 7730".The stage revolves as it should.There are no cracks or chips to the mirror, however, there is some spotting. It has two unmarked objectives and eyepieces, as well as an aquatic live box and a further optical accessory.The microscope measures approximately 38 cm (15 inches) tall.This would be ideal for spares or repair. There are no cracks or chips to the brass that I can find, however, there are the areas of tarnish to the brass, as wells as the usual scuffs, marks and scratches, that you expect from a well used item of this age.
