Art Deco Chrome Lady Lamp Diana Bakelite Antique 1930s Marbled Shade

CHROME ART DECO LADY LAMP

A second and last that I have available of this 'silhouette' lady lamp from my private collection. This is a sophisticated and great example of modernisms influence on Art Deco.

A fun design which features a 2D chrome outline of a 1930s flapper, which when lit provides a 'silhouette' effect of a naked dancing lady, enhanced by the light source behind her. The shade is a stunning geometric art deco form with marbling and step...ping in classic art deco style.

The lamp also features a stepped Art Deco chrome base and a rare octagonal art deco gallery to hold the shade. Its functional components features a click switch on the lamp base and also a matching white bakelite art deco inline bullet style switch for added accessibility to turn it on and off a bit easier if one can't reach the lamp on a bedside cabinet.

It has been rewired with luxury black cloth cord and has a black bakelite plug with art deco detailing.

An evocative piece that is sure to delight any discerning collector of the period.

The shade is in superb condition with no chips or cracs.

The bakelite accessories are in perfect working condition and very clean with no chips or cracks.

Being a collector I understand the value of items being purchased and believe people deserve to receive them as advertised.

To make sure this happen, I use firm boxes, package stiffeners, foam separators between items, bubble wrap around the item, and paper padding. Items are usually double boxed depending on the item.

OF NOTE:
I cannot ship any smaller than I already do. I use custom boxing to fit to the actual item size to make the box smaller to fit the item, however the items must be padded out as they are fragile and antique and often double boxed. This is a non negotiable.

Also a small fee is charged to cover the cost of professionally packing the item.

Items Damaged in Transit:
I do not accept returns on items damaged in transit as this is covered by postal insurance.
Great care is taken to protect items and it must be proven by the post office that sender
negligence caused damage.

As per Australia Post website:
"Customers who receive insured items with missing or damaged contents should inform Australia Post immediately, and present the article, including all wrapping and packaging, for inspection."

As the buyer has the goods, this process must be completed. I will provide all insurance details
and be as helpful as I can. This will ensure insurance is fullfilled.
