Original Description:
Fine old Polynesian hardwood war cub with a beautifully carved multi-lobed head.  Similar to New Caledonian clubs but flares at the base like a Samoan club.  The lobed head is similar to a faceted Fijian ula or a star headed club.  Measures 22.5" long x 5" wide at head.  Handle is 1 3/4" wide.  Light colored hardwood has a beautiful glossy golden brown patina throughout.  Traces of hatch marks on grip area of handle.  Several dry cracks or splits in t...he wood, most notably the end of handle and the lobed head.
