Antique German Deutsch Fly Fishing Vintage Wooden Live Bait Cricket BoxThis live bait box is yet another item I collected in Germany, from cellar of that 300 year old WaterMill house.This bait box appears a bit rough but is in useable condition. Hardware has quite a bit of oxidation. It appears the original antique hinge must have been removed from lid & replaced with the newer brass one we see now. Note the heavy oxidation of hardware & that what must be the original leather s...trap is extremely dry; for a really attractive display the hardware should be reconditioned, the leather strap replaced. The closure is original, & toggles back & forth with a firm spring lock as it should. This box measures 8” tall by 13” long by 5” wide. It weighs 4 pounds, 13 ounces.
