A very clean and fully functional Joseph Sewill Marine Chronometer manufactured by JOSEPH SEWILL LIVERPOOL ANTIQUE MARINE SHIPS 56HR CHRONOMETER 4804 . THE MOVEMENT.The 56 hour gimballed chain fusee movement with spring dentent chronometer escapement is in superb condition and keeps excellent time.
THE DIAL.The silvered brass dial with black Arabic numerals and blued steel spade hands is signed Joseph sewill & carries the number 4804.
THE CASE.The double tier mahogany case with gallery window to top revealing the time the lower tier gives access to the gimball lock, chronometer for winding and adjustment, and the key. MEASUREMENTSClock Face Diameter: 5.5"
