FourAntique Wool Winders English * Circa1900s Two of theseoversize antiquethread winders are carved ofwood and 2 are made of Bakelite. Winders this size were usually madefor using with wool though one is wrapped with some old embroiderycotton. Under that thread it is embossed with a circle that says "RobinSilk Winder". One is hand colored on one side with a Dutch girl who hasher knitting in one hand and a jug in the other. This one is mark...ed inthe center with the Cross Fox Trade mark of the Abel Morrall Company. The tortoiseshell Bakelite winder and thethick wooden example have no marks. They measure from 4 5/8"across the arms (Bakelite winders) to 5 1/2" (Dutch girl). Allare in greatcondition with no chips, cracks or other damage.
