Very Unusual, Beautiful Large Original PAINTING ON TINFOIL, Framed in Beautiful, Very Early Antique Victorian 1840 Oval Walnut Picture FrameDESCRIPTION: Nice large framed FLORAL PAINTING ON TINFOIL, framed in a classic antiqueova picture frame. This is a gorgeous combination and MAKES A STUNNING WALL DISPLAY OR DECORATION IN ANY ROOM OR DECOR.The painting design was cut out of the paper, then "crinkled" or slightly "crumpled" tin foil was put behind the openings. The tin foll was ...painted the colors shown, resulting in the brightly colored design. Not only the bright visual colors, but the foil's texture and surface provides a really nice reflective surface.....almost like it was lighted from behind. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE OF THESE TIN FOIL PAINTINGS, AND IT IS REALLY NICE!!!In addition, it looks great in the oval walnut frame that it is in. The wooden frame has a gold ring collar around the center as shown. It is madeof beautiful polished walnut. Very early classic early Victorian antique frame, c. 1840 – 1850. Wood is really smooth and has several nice smooth joints as shown. Scans show it all.THIS IS A VERYNICE EARLY WALNUT FRAME !!! It is large, measuring 13 1/4" x 11 1/4" overall, with an opening (and painting size of) about 9 1/4" x 7 1/4. In excellent condition overall, both the painting and the frame, with no scratches or damage. A great vintage, unique painting, in a beautiful early 19th century frame madeof beautiful walnut.
