Some excellent quality bracket clocks please keep your eyes open over the next few months THE CASE This is a fantastic Kieninger carved oak triple train, 3 musical tune 9 bell moon phase regulator bracket clock with superb proportions and superb features to include working moon phase and choice of musical tune and a night silent.
The clock case features a superb cube architectural flat top design with brass carry handle. The main case has a hinged glazed front door with a hook and latch to hold it shut with fixed back door which you unscrew to pull to the door out and gain access to the movement
The case is in great condition for age and looks amazing wherever it is displayed with a stunning finish to the oak case, there are brass fretwork panels on either side which have a red silk material behind them to really set them off
THE DIAL The clock features a brass dial with silvered chapter ring and pierced spandrels to each corner with a working 29.5 moonphase lunar cycle feature to the arch which works in accordance with the movement. There is a lever to the right hand side for choice of musical chime Westminster, Whittington and Saint Michaels, to the left there is a lever for the choice of chime/silent and night off. The dial is in excellent condition and has engraved decorations to the centre also with a seconds hand
THE MOVEMENT The 8 day movement has a anchor escapement and is striking on 9 bell in total. The quarter chiming musical chimes every quarter of an hour on 8/4 bells and the hourly strike on the largest bell after the musical chimes have finished playing. The chimes work as they should on Westminster, Whittington and Saint Michaels and sound absolutely beautiful when playing as can be seen and heard in the video above
The movement is in perfect working order and is chiming superbly and ticks away beautifully with the working 29.5 moon phase lunar cycle feature also working in accordance with the movement, the movement is signed with the makers stamp of Kieninger
MEASUREMENTS The clock measures 17 inches high x 11.25 inches wide x 10 inches deep and looks super impressive wherever it is displayed
APPROX DATE Circa 1970 This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this so please bear this in mind before bidding
If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
All repair costs will be met by myself for 6 months after purchase. If a mechanism is faulty after 6 months then i can offer a repair service for a discounted price but this cost will be met by the buyer if after 6 months of purchase
