Some excellent quality bracket clocks please keep your eyes open over the next few months THE CASE This clock is a very very high quality English vintage single fusee mystery conical swinging pendulum automation table clock of superb large proportions very rare and fine quality as you would expect from Thwaites & Reed London made to a very limited number designed by Elliott and made by Thwaites & Reed This is a high quality English made table clock which is in full working order as i am sure you can see in the video above
The clock has a very impressive proportions and is English and is signed to backplate of movement Thwaites & Reed, superb high quality with a square mahogany base which has engraved glass panels to the sides and back. The side glass doors open to reveal access to the high quality fusee english movement with the original rachet winding key fitted to the base and fits into the rachet winding spring to side of movement and is used to wind the clock with a rachet lever action wind to the fusee. The top of the clock features a brass bandstand with the mystery conical pendulum to centre which rotates around in a circular motion and is impulsed by the swinging arm to the top of the movement very very well designed and displays beautifully as i'm sure you can see from the pictures and video The clock has a large ball feet to each corner with a adjustable screw thread to help with levelling up the bed of the table so that the ball pendulum will continually run. There is also a level inside the base to use to get the clock perfectly level as is needed The mahogany case is in great condition for age. All the brass work is also original and in great condition with only minimal age wear to it but would clean up like new THE DIAL The clock has a beautiful engraved brass ormolu dial with engraved silvered chapter ring with roman numerals and original hands. The dial features a moon phase disc dial to centre which works in accordance with the movement with engraved ormolu corner spandrels all protected by its glass cover and in excellent condition
THE MOVEMENT The clock has its original english single fusee mystery movement of 8 day duration and signed by the makers Thwaites & Reed London. The movement is a mystery conical swinging pendulum movement has can be seen in the video above. The movement is all complete and in perfect working order keeping good time with regualtion adjustment to the conical pendulum to top of clock for fine adjustment. This clock is in full working order and it is an absolute pleasure to watch when on display with the mystery conical pendulum swinging to the top
MEASUREMENTS The clock has large proportions and measures 24.25 inches high x 9.25 inches wide x 9.25 inches deep This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece with the quality being second to none one of the very best mystery clocks i have seen and one for the serious collection, the clock is of museum quality as you would expect from Richard Elliott & Thwaites & Reed London and one i do not think you will see for sale for a long while

No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this so please bear this in mind before bidding
If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
All repair costs will be met by myself for 6 months after purchase. If a mechanism is faulty after 6 months then i can offer a repair service for a discounted price but this cost will be met by the buyer if after 6 months of purchase
