KING ARTHUR Bronze cast statue by Peter Vischer, the Eiden, dated 1513. The fine detail of King Arthur of Britain designed and cast by the well known German Sculptor,   Peter Vischerin ( 1460 - 1529).  The statue stands in plate armour with a raisedvisor and with a jousting shield. He is wearing Kastenbrust Armour (early 15th Century). The statue stands at 15cm or 6 inchestall.  The base is 5.5cm or 2.2 inches square.In 1515, Vischer, at the summons of the Holy Roman Emp...eror and German King, Maximillian, left Nuremberg and went to Innsbrook where he made two statues of Theodoric and Arthur for the great tomb of the Hapsburg.
