Large & fancy American carriage clock @ 1890.  This is a very nice one owner clock that came out of an estate recently, where it was meticulously maintained.  It looks to be a product of either the workshops of EF Caldwell, or Harris and Harrington in New York.  The extremely high quality and detailed Renaissance styled case has an untouched gilded finish which is excellent.  It's a very impressive case with wonderful castings and amazing detail.  Amazing o...riginal dial is engraved eye-vory, and is perfect with no damage.  Great original hands.  The 8 day time only French carriage clock movement is complete and intact and runs well, keeping good time.  Movement looks to be in very good mechanical condition, and retains its original platform escapement, which appears to be in good undamaged condition with excellent action as it ticks.  Dimensions are:  7 1/2" tall with the handle up x 4 3/8" square.  Weighs in at 4 3/4 pounds.  No reserve.  USPS shipping in the continental USA will be $40.00.
