FABULOUS LARGE VICTORIAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT GILT BRONZE EAGLE FIGURAL INKWELL Hello, thank you for having a look at our auctions. Up for auction with no reserve is a fabulous large Victorian Aesthetic Movement Gold Gilt Bronze Eagle Figural Inkwell. The Inkwell is one of the finest quality examples I have seen in a long time, featuring a wonderful large Eagle with wings spread out on top and superb Bacchus Head amongst fruit designs, very much in the Art Nouveau taste. The Inkwell Lid hinges open nicely on a strong sturdy hinge to reveal a nice sawtooth rim Glass Ink Pot. It is hard to see in the photos but there is also a lovely Pen rest to the front. The Inkwell is much finer than my photos show and in excellent condition with no damage or repairs, even the Glass Ink Pot is excellent as seen. The Inkwell is marked on the bottom as seen but I could not identify the maker, well worth looking into though. The Inkwell is a large and impressive example, measuring 8-1/2 inches tall by 8 inches by 8 inches overall. This is a top quality example and would look amazing on antique desk or in a collection.
