Original 1930 Cairns Leather Presentation Battalion Chief Helmet Jersey City FD. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.this high eagle helmet was made in New York by cairns as well as the front piece and is a battalion chiefs helmet from the JERSEY CITY NJ fire dept across the river from NYC. The plaque on the back of the helmet reads PRESENTED TO CHAS J RYE BATTALION CHIEF J.C.F.D.BY THE OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF H&L CO NO 6 DEC 16 -1930. The disc is of silver metal and was... engraved by a jeweler no doubt. Please see photos for condition of helmet no cracks splits in the leather ect. Everything is tight.
