Obsolete Old US Deputy Marshal Badge. Condition is Used. It is made from a Mexican 8 real coin dated 1884. It is hand made as you can tell from the uneven cuts. The pin attachment is a T-pin type used from the 1880’s to about 1905 or so. This badge is well over 100 years old. It conveys no police powers since it is obsolete and doesn’t resemble any current issue badge from that agency. It has some wear marks but noting to damage the badge. Take a look and judge for your self. This ...has been in my personal collection for some time. It’s time for a new home. I don’t know much more about the badge but I would guess it was used in the Texas area or a bit north due to the resemblance to the Texas ranger badge. Thanks for looking good luck bidding.
