This is one of a number of really rare and unusual pens that Iwill listing over the next few weeks. Even if its just for interest sake pleasedo take a look at some of my other listings. Make & model Early G Riddle London dip fountain pen with really interesting most likely pre Bramah clip mechanism.
The mechanism has a slider loop that in turn locks the nib in ...place by pushing pressure between the two bars. Country of manufacture Made in England Patterning & trim Stunning Pearl barrel with solid gold but unmarked collar and tip. It has a lovely cut Citrine stone in the top Filling Mechanism Dip Pen – Interesting early locking mechanism (see photos) Serviced / Working

Pearl barrel in good overall condition with no cracks or splits but has a few marks from usage. The top is solid gold with a nice cut Citrine stone inset.
The collar or nib holder is solid gold but is unmarked. It is in good overall condition and has a nice patina. It is a rather scarce early most likely pre Bramah clip version.
The collar is marked: G RIDDLE LONDON
The gold nib holder has an interesting locking mechanism that holds the nib tightly in place. Cap
None - this is a dip pen Trim / Clip / Lever Etc Solid gold but unmarked Nib Condition None Nib Size See photos Faults / Blemishes / Overall Condition This is a rather rare early dip pen made by G Riddle London (Famous stationers who partnered with Sampson Mordan).
It has an interesting locking mechanism that looks rather early. It is in good overall condition and a must have for any collection.
