SUPERB ANTIQUE FRENCH 19th CENTURY ROYAL SEAL WITH COURONNE CROWN

I am listing all of the treasures here from today and they have all been hidden away for many years and this is the first time the collection has been seen. Please check my other items and check back throughout the week as I manage to ...list these wonderful 18th and 19th century confections. This is a superb antique French 19th century Royal seal that carries a crest with a couronne crown. It dates from the early 1800s. All in wonderful condition the handle appears to be a fruitwood. I have left it just as it was found and it is possible to see a little parchment around where the seal joins the handle. The seal itself carries three Fleur de Lys below the crown and the words INDIRECTES IMPOSITIONS. Height 9.5cms Base diameter 25mm A genuine period seal full of faded grandeur. All the items in my listings, unless described otherwise, are either vintage or antique. They have all had a 'past' life, a history to tell - and this inevitably affects their condition through use and handling. I do my best to make my descriptions as accurate as possible but please do not bid if you are looking for pristine items; you will not find them in my auctions! However, if you are as passionate as me about beautiful time-worn treasures with a history and full faded grandeur then I hope you will enjoy looking through my treasures as much as I enjoy 'truffling' for the finds.
