The case is mahogany and the glazing is thick heavily bevelled glass.
The register plate is beautifully engraved silvered brass which has both Farenheight and Reaumur scales.
The thermometer tube is filled with red coloured alcohol and it is reading perfectly accurately.
It is signed "F. L. WEST Optician, 31 Cockspur Street, Charing Cross".
Condition in every respect is first class.
