An unusual and rare find is this pair of antique or Ca 1921 drumsticks. The wood appears to be Ebony and the ends are cow bone. The color on the 1 3/8" ends is wonderful. Yellowing, graining, and check lines. I suspect these were of the highest quality when made. The signature Rettberg appears in a 1921 Jacob's Band Monthly article. The company Rettberg and Lange from New york City ran an advertisement for their drums and accessories. I suspect they are linked.
