19th Century Antique Sml Pretty Gilded & Champlevé Cloisonné Footed Trinket BoxWe believe that this small trinket box was made in France or another central European country during the second half of the 19th century. It is a rectangular box set on for “turned” legs. It is entirely gilded and has pretty champlevé enamel floral scrolls to the sides. The hinged lid is similarly decorated with an ornated intricate pattern of flowers, leaves and scrolls laid out in a rococo style. I...t would have been designed to hold those precious rings or trinkets on a lady’s vanity table.The box is in very good antique condition; one leg is slightly bent but hardly seen or affects to box; no other faults; some patina that will easily clean; left to the new owner’s discretion.
