This unusual vintage "TIM", Model "I" mechanical calculator or adding machine was manufactured by "Ludwig Spitz & Co", the company began making calculating machines in 1904 in Germany.I can't find any cracks or splits to the steel and brass body of the machine, however, there are some areas of paint loss, mainly around the edges, as well as the usual scuffs, marks and scratches you would associate with the years of use.The plated metalwork has lost it's finish in places, particularly,... to the handle.The impressed makers details and logo is still clear and legible to the top, but has faded a little to the side.All of the keys are present and the numbers still have a good colour and there are no chips or cracks to the hard rubber, however, one of the "4"'s has been replaced.All of the mechanisms appear to be in working order, although, they seem a little temperamental.The folding rear legs are present and work. Adding Machine.This unusual vintage "TIM", Model "I" mechanical calculator or adding machine was manufactured by "Ludwig Spitz & Co", the company began making calculating machines in 1904 in Germany.
I can't find any cracks or splits to the steel and brass body of the machine, however, there are some areas of paint loss, mainly around the edges, as well as the usual scuffs, marks and scratches you would associate with the years of use.
