Vintage C1880 " Henry Crouch " Brass Binocular Microscope With Accessories

This brass binocular microscope by "Henry Crouch, London" has no cracks or chips to the brass that I can find and the microscope, however, there is a small chip and a little damage to the underside of the circular glass stage around the central hole, the black paint has faded in places too. There are also the usual scuffs, marks and scratches that you expect from a well used item of this age.I have tried to show the condition in the photographs. We are unsure if the microscope is full...y functional, please ask for any information you may require.The makers details are impressed in to the rear of the base along with the serial number "2956".The drawtube moves up and down smoothly.The double sided mirror is free from any cracks or chips, but it does have some 'foxing' in places.The microscope measures approximately, 35.5 cm (14 inches) tall, it has a large number of accessories, including four objectives in cans.The cans are marked "Henry Crouch", the objectives are unmarked, unfortunately, one of the four eyepieces is missing.It has its' original mahogany case, this has suffered over the years, the internal frame which stores the accessories has been broken and repaired.
