Vintage Rare Tinplate Battery Operated Interplanetary SpaceFighter, Nomura Toys, Japan. VGiBA nice rare vintage tinplate battery operated Interplanetary SpaceFighter Toy with blue body, white nose, red rear fins and fold-in wings, black and silver detail, piloted by an astronaut in a gold space-suit who fires a front mounted gun with a green plastic canopy, made by the Nomura Toys (T.N.) Co. in Japan in the 1950’s, with original box.In very good working condition with some playwear,... the battery operations work well – when switched on the Space Fighter moveswith mystery action and space noise, the pilot moves the gun from side to side and the gun also lights. These actions repeat untilit is switched off. The tinplate is clean and rust-free, with somemarks and small dents mainly to one side of the nosecone. The battery box has a small area of surface rust and when batteries are inserted it needs to be done carefully to ensurethat good connections are made. When this is done, the toyworks well, as shown in some of the photographs.The Space Fighter measures 12 inches long by 6 wide (inc. rearwings) and 5.5 inches tall inc. pilot and is marked with the Nomura Toys “T.N.” in a diamond trade mark and “Made in Japan” underneath and on the rear radio. Also comes with a very good original box which has some playwearand general marks, but is fully marked and has greatspace graphics on all sides.A rare space toy that does not come up too often and especially hard to find in such good boxed condition - would make a great addition to a space or battery toy collection.Please see my other vintage items listed. A nice rare vintage tinplate battery operated Interplanetary Space
Fighter Toy with blue body, white nose, red rear fins and fold-in wings,
black and silver detail, piloted by an astronaut in a gold space-suit who
