This vintage "Comptator" adding machine was made, I believe, by German manufacturers "Schubert & Salzer".It has 9 columns, and the toothed column levers are moved by use of the stylus, The stylus end is present, this is marked "Comptator" to the sliding ringI can't find any cracks or splits to the metal body of the machine and it retains all of its' original plated nickel finish, however, there are the minor scuffs, marks and scratches you would expect from a used item of this age.The... impressed model namels to the body of the machine are still clear and crisp. The serial number "13475" is impressed in to the bottom.The numbers to the chains and columns are still clear and legible.The chains move when the stylus is used and the display shows the numbers, which cna be cleared by use of the knob, however, I am not sure if all of the mechanisms work correctly.The lined case is in good order. Chain Adding Machine.This vintage "Comptator" adding machine was made, I believe, by German manufacturers "Schubert & Salzer".
