LARGE ANTIQUE MEISSEN PORCELAINFIGURAL GROUP OF A WOMAN AND CHILDREN
Here for auction is this quite detailed antique 19th C German Meissen figural grouping of a woman and two children! The modeling is very intricate, and I can only imagine the time it took to produce it. It's quite large, at approx. 11" tall; 5 3/4" X 7" at the oval base. This is an antique 19th C example, appropriately marked with Meissen's crossed swords, decorator's initials, numbe...red, etc. For a piece of this magnitude, it's in very good condition. The boy is lacking some fingers on his left hand and a book on his lap, and the woman has slight loss to the plumage in her hair. All very minor. Otherwise, no chips, cracks or repairs.
