Antique, genuine, superbly crafted Islamic, Arabian peninsula Jambia dagger - probably Yemen, circa late 19th to early 20th century
The hard, stitched leather sheath is applied with solid silver decor done with elaborate filigree wire technique and very ornate - the blade with a prominent central ridge for added strength, very sharp on both edges
The handle is finely carved in 'I' shape and beautifully polished showing the nice, natural grain of the horn - it shows beautiful hone...y-colored translucence under light
Excellent, original condition with no losses or repairs - some blemishes to the blade - please examine all detailed pictures
It measures overall 30.3 cm long - the handle is 8.3 cm long x about 8 cm wide at the top - The blade is 17.5 cm long - total weight is 315 grams
